The spiral, representing the cyclical nature of life, and for that matter all things and phenomena in the universe, has an important place in cultures around the world. From the motion of galaxies to the shell of a snail or the human fingerprint, spirals abound in nature. They represent time itself - linear, cyclic and repetitive, but always moving to a higher qualitative level. A spiral also symbolises the interconnected nature of all human relationships.

 

While designing our logo, we have taken inspiration from the visual motif of a spiral, one of the oldest, yet the most enigmatic image ever known. The adaptation of a spiral in our logo signifies the cyclic nature of social development, appearing to come back to the starting point but at a higher qualitative plane, posing new questions, and necessitating newer solutions. Its mysterious resonance with the human spirit inspires us in our engagement, knowledge sharing, outreach and co-creation efforts. The thickening of the spiral arm, as it expands represents forward motion of human development.

 

Embedded in the spiral, the “@” symbol, represents the amalgamation of technology with human endeavour. For us, it enhances human relationships by strengthening values such as collaboration, openness, agility, innovation and contextuality.
