NCCDC contributes to McCain Foods bagging the Sandvik India Gender Award

 

McCain Foods India Pvt. Ltd. (MFIPL) is the winner of the Sandvik India Gender Awards in the “Corporate Organization (Policy)” category. MFIPL was selected among over 600 entries as it has a robust policy on Gender and Diversity in the workplace in addition to having a CSR program focusing on Gender equality in Project Shakti.

New Concept Centre for Development Communications (NCCDC) developed the Behaviour Change Communication (BCC) materials for Project Shakti being implemented in three villages of Mehsana, Gujarat. The BCC approach included interactive media such as story cards, animated videos and street play.

The Sandvik India Gender Awards were created to support gender initiatives and recognise excellence and commitment to gender equality, diversity and inclusion in areas such as education and social change. The awards seek to identify individuals or representatives of organisations committed to supporting gender equality and contributing to Sustainable Development Goal 5. These include, for example, community-based, academic, corporate, governmental and non-governmental organisations.
