By exploring key behavioural science theories, human-centered design (HCD) principles, and practical applications, learners will develop a strong foundation in designing, implementing, and evaluating SBC strategies.
By successfully completing this course, you will:
- Define behaviour and understand its determinants.
- Explain key theories of behaviour change and their applications.
- Apply the Socio-Ecological Model (SEM) to SBC strategies.
- Understand the principles of Human-Centered Design (HCD) in behaviour change.
- Analyse the behaviour change process through real-world case studies.
- Assess your understanding of SBC through interactive quizzes and exercises.
Audience
UNICEF staff, partners, government officials involved in public health, education, and social development, development practitioners, and anyone interested in understanding behaviour change and communication strategies.
Duration
The estimated time it takes to complete this course is 90 minutes, including assessments.
Structure
The course has 3 interactive modules:
- Understanding Behaviour
- Understanding SBC and HCD
- Demystifying the Behaviour Change Process
At the end of each module, learners will take multiple-choice quizzes to assess their understanding.
Methodology
This course is designed to equip government ministries, partner organizations, and development practitioners with the essential knowledge and skills to drive effective behaviour change interventions.
Certification
Upon successful completion of all modules and assessments, participants will receive a certificate of completion from UNICEF Agora.
